Your rooms and prices

This article shows you the Inventory screen — where your rooms live, and where you change prices and stay rules for any dates.

Two words you will see:

  • A room type is a kind of room you sell, like “Deluxe Double” or “Garden Villa.” Each room type has one or more bookable units — the actual rooms guests can stay in.
  • A rate plan is a price offer for a room type, like a standard rate. Prices belong to rate plans.
  1. Open the Inventory screen.
  2. Find the room type and rate plan you want to change.
  3. Choose the date range — the first and last date the new price applies to. For example: 20 December to 5 January for a high-season price.
  4. Enter the new price and save.

A restriction is a rule about when and how guests can book. You set them for a date range, the same way as prices. There are five:

Restriction Plain meaning
Minimum stay Guests must stay at least this many nights.
Maximum stay Guests cannot stay more than this many nights.
No check-in on this day (sometimes written CTA) Guests cannot start their stay on this date. They can still stay through it.
No check-out on this day (sometimes written CTD) Guests cannot end their stay on this date.
Stop sell Blocks the date completely. Nobody can book it. Use this for maintenance, private use, or when you are full.

How to know it worked: the new price or rule shows on the screen for those dates. If you have the widget on your website, it updates there too — right away.

Change many rooms at once — bulk holiday rates

Section titled “Change many rooms at once — bulk holiday rates”

If you need to raise weekend rates for a holiday, or set the same restriction across every room of one type, you do not have to repeat the steps above room by room. Use Bulk holiday rates. One bulk change covers one room type at a time — if your property has more than one room type, repeat the steps for each.

  1. On the Inventory screen, open Bulk holiday rates.
  2. Choose the room type and the rate plan you want to change.
  3. Choose the date range.
  4. Pick which rooms: All rooms of this room type, or select specific rooms.
  5. Set a new nightly rate, a restriction, or both.
  6. Review the change — it lists exactly which rooms, which dates, and what changes.
  7. Apply.

How to know it worked: you will see a confirmation naming how many rooms and which dates were changed. Open one of those rooms in Inventory to confirm the new price or rule is there.
